These garden markers will add a unique touch to any garden bed, planter pots, flowers or even trees.
Tools needed:
metal garden labels (in silver or copper)
4mm metal stamps/letter punch
masking tape
black permanent paint/paintbrush or extra fine point permanent marker
anvil, wood cutting board or other protective surface
damp sponge/cloth
hammer
Directions: Use a piece of masking tape as a guide to keep letters correctly aligned. Remove the label from stake and place it on the anvil or protective base of choice. Be sure to look at the metal stamp and position it so that the imprint will be displayed correctly. (Note: It would be prudent to begin with the middlemost letter and work outwards in order to make ensure the letters are justified.) Position the stamp over the metal label and lightly tap with a hammer 2-3 times. Once the wording is complete, lightly fill in the depression with the paint or permanent marker . Wipe clean any excess paint with a sponge or wet cloth.
